On July 8, 1822, the lifeless body of the infamous young poet Percy Bysshe Shelley washed up on the shore in Viareggio, Italy, ravaged by salt water. Driven from Great Britain for his immoral writings, free love lifestyle and running off with a teenaged Mary Godwin (they later married and she authored the novel Frankensteinat age 18), the young Shelley began writing and didn’t stop until his fingers grew numb.
