Their names are Sandra, Deyna, Veronica, Yerliane and Daniuska. They’re all from underprivileged backgrounds. Through their innate talent for futbol, not to mention their persistence, they earned their spots on the national under-17 girls’ soccer team. Undeterred by their federation’s tiny budget, they’ve become symbols of success but also of resilience in Venezuela and all over South America. They are modern warriors, and woe to anyone who tries to steal the ball. CANADIAN PREMIEREPresented by Les Princes
