The beauty of film is that it allows me to illuminate complexity through connecting the bodies, minds and visions of my characters as well as my viewers. In film, I am interested in positioning the characters into a simple storyline through audiovisual effects, using elaborate camera movement, lighting setup, and sound design to manipulate the pace of storytelling and the perspectives of spectatorship.
Muslims and part of the LGBTQ+ community, Yara, Monib, Tariq and A. claim their identities while reflecting on their personal beliefs and experiences.UQAM
