Jeanne, a French writer, travels to Japan to look for a rare medicinal plant that flowers every 997 years. Once there, she meets a forest ranger. Spiritual and sensitive reflection set amongst the majestic scenery of Nara, Japan.
In the magical Toshino Mountains of Japan, the filmmaker of Still the Water brings together Jeanne, a French author, and Tomo, a local forest ranger. They search for a rare medicinal plant whose properties will allow humans to be deprived of spiritual anguish and weakness. Using an ethereal and sensual style where water, fauna and flora are incarnated both visually and audibly, Vision explores the powerful role of nature and the multiple possibilities of the experience.
